BT electric trucks can be equipped with either original manufacturer's batteries or compatible versions manufactured by specialized companies. Both options offer safe and efficient operation, provided that the same electrical and mechanical parameters of the equipment are respected.

An adequate and well-maintained battery keeps the traction force constant throughout the day, reducing charging times and avoiding unnecessary stops. On the other hand, a deteriorated or inadequate battery can cause overheating, loss of power and higher energy consumption.

Routine use and loading

• Charge at the end of each shift; avoid going below 20-30% charge.
• Equalize according to manufacturer (e.g., weekly or every X cycles).
• Add water only after charging and up to the marked level (distilled water).
• Maintain ventilation of the cargo area (as per EN 62485-3).

Temperature and storage

• Optimum temperature: 20-25 °C. Continuous heat accelerates degradation; cold reduces autonomy.
• Long shutdowns: store at 50-70 % and maintenance recharge every 4-6 weeks.
