The absorption of acid from the fiberglass means that the battery packs can operate at higher pressures than liquid electrolyte batteries. Their individual cell valve design and fiberglass plate separation ensures that gas recombination takes place and ensures that there is no water leakage, thus avoiding the need for electrolyte reserves and requiring no maintenance.
GEL start-stop battery: This kind of batteries are usually valvo-regulated to maintain the internal pressure and avoid leakage. The technology they use also gives them their name, since the electrolyte is gelled, which frees them from maintenance, leaks and spills. Its technology is based on the classic lead-acid system, containing positive, separator and negative plate and its main differentiation is that the electrolyte is immobilized by the gel, which gives it certain advantages over conventional technologies.
