TRACTION BATTERIES
So-called Traction Batteries are designed for applications that require a high level of power and reliability. Their use is very common in electric forklifts, aerial work platforms, and cleaning machines.
At Rebatex, we have more than 80 models of traction elements for battery assembly. This allows us to manufacture Traction Batteries of any type, with the required voltage of 12V, 24V, 48V, 80V, and the necessary capacity for your use, ranging from 120 Ah to 1550 Ah.
Once we have the appropriate model of traction b
atteries, we configure the metal case where the battery will be mounted. There is an endless variety of battery case models with different dimensions, and it is possible to manufacture the case to the exact specifications required by our customer.
The case is made up of a 5 mm thick sheet metal frame coated with acid-resistant epoxy paint to prevent possible acid spills onto the floor.
Once the battery case is ready, we install the battery cells inside, placing the terminals on the correct side before connecting the traction elements in series, thus forming a 24-Volt battery (as shown in the example image).
For the terminal connections, we use flexible cables to connect all the traction elements in series. These flexible connections are covered with rubber, which prevents cable sulfation and ensures the necessary safety in the forklift battery, avoiding explosions or accidents from objects that might fall on the batteries.
The screws used for the terminals of traction batteries are covered on top with PVC for safety when handling the batteries. Once all the traction elements are connected, we check the total voltage of the battery and install the power connector alongside the connection cables.
All our traction batteries undergo a thorough quality control throughout the entire manufacturing process. This way, we deliver batteries to our customers ready to operate in any aerial work platform or electric forklift. We configure the battery to the required specifications and adapt the battery charger as needed.
Consult our Technical Department to find out which battery your electric forklift or aerial work platform uses, whether it is a 12-volt, 24-volt, 48-volt battery, etc. Don’t forget that we offer significant discounts when you return your used battery.
