6V J305E-AC Battery Features
The Trojan J305E deep cycle 6V 339Ah (C100) battery has exceptional performance and long life. With a robust design and manufactured in polypropylene highly resistant to shock, vibration and external agents. It has a superior recharge efficiency. It has handles for easy transport and installation.
Ideal battery for use in recreational vehicles, floor scrubbers, aerial work platforms, stackers, pallet trucks, golf carts, emergency equipment, electric vehicles, and renewable energy applications.
This Trojan J305E-AC battery model is a 6V battery, to modify the working voltage of the machine to 12V, 24V or 48V, several batteries must be connected in series. For example, to operate at 12V, 2 units of this battery must be connected in series. And so on for other voltages we want to connect. We will have to use a section of wiring according to the intensity that is going to be demanded.
Lifetime of 6V Trojan J305E-AC battery
The manufacturer Trojan has incorporated the new Trojan DURAGrid technology, which offers excellent charging performance allowing the 6V 305Ah TROJAN J305E Battery to charge with high efficiency.
The useful life of the J305E-AC battery depends on the depth of discharge to which it is subjected, for a discharge to 50% of its capacity it has a duration of 1200 charge/discharge cycles. If it is subjected to a depth of discharge of 80%, the life will be 700 charge/discharge cycles.
Depending on the intensity of use, the J305E model has a capacity of 250 amperes per hour (Ah) at a discharge rate of 5 hours (C5), 305 amperes per hour (Ah) at a discharge rate of 20 hours (C20) and 339 amperes per hour (Ah) at a discharge rate of 100 hours (C100).
These figures indicate the battery’s ability to supply current at different discharge rates, which is important in determining its performance in various applications. Such as solar systems, golf carts, caravans and other applications that require a constant, deep-cycle power supply.
Battery charging and maintenance J305E-AC
The Trojan J305E battery is lead acid and requires proper maintenance to ensure optimum performance and service life.
Regular Recharging: It is important to recharge the battery regularly to avoid deep discharge, which can reduce battery life.
2. Cleaning: Keeping the terminals and battery surface clean and free of corrosion is essential for optimum performance. A mixture of water and baking soda can be used to clean the terminals.
Water Levels: If the battery is of the maintenance type, it is necessary to check and, if necessary, top up the distilled water levels on a regular basis.
4. Storage: If the battery is not used for an extended period of time, it is important to store it in a cool, dry place and keep it charged.
5. Charging: The 6V 305Ah TROJAN J305E-AC battery can be recharged with a conventional charger or a solar regulator between 20 and 40 amps maximum. We must take into account the appropriate voltage for the different charging stages, for the absorption charge is 2.48V per cell and for equalization charge is 2.6V. For example for a 24V battery, with 4 batteries connected in series of 6V, the absorption charge is 29.76V and the equalization charge is 31.2V.
